Were you athletic as a kid growing up?
Yes.
As a child, I played baseball, football, basketball, soccer and
tennis. I even did a little Fujitsu and slap
boxed in he neighborhood.
Tell us about your weekly exercise routine now.
I try to hit the gym at least four days a
week. I usually train two muscle groups
per workout. I like to keep my muscles
guessing. One week I may do chest,
triceps and abs. The next week I’ll do
chest, biceps and abs. On leg days, it ’s
anything goes. “Lift till you puke ” is my
motto. When I’m done doing my legs,
my head is spinning and I’m wobbling
out of the gym. For this reason, I do legs
once a week. For my cardio workout,
I like to hit the heavy bag for about 10
rounds, shadow box and hit the speed
bag. I’m a huge boxing fan and love the
sweet science.
What is your weekly diet like?
For the most part I try to eat healthy
but sometimes that doesn’t work out.
During the week, my breakfast varies
from yogurt with granola and strawberries to a chicken, egg and cheese biscuit
with hash browns. For lunch I’ll do any
chicken or fish dish. Dinner normally
includes any of the aforementioned
along with a salad. It’s not uncommon
for a cocktail to be included.
What keeps you motivated to stay
fit?
I’m a skinny old man. I don’t think
that I would look too good with a beer
belly. I was always a skinny kid growing up. I would lift and lift and I still
wouldn ’t grow. I would be just as strong
as most of my peers, but I didn’t have
that “strong” looking physique. Most of
my friends have all gotten a little out of
shape. As bad as it sounds, they keep
me motivated. I love them all, though.
Besides, it feels good when you walk into
a room and the admiration is noticeable.
It’s an ego booster for sure. Plus, I just
bought a new Harley. I have to look
good on that.
What are your health &fitness
goals for the future?
With God’s blessings and my will, I just
want to remain healthy. However, I do
plan to turn my four-pack into a six. This
is a work in progress. I’m not really looking to put on more size because tailor
made suits don ’t grow on trees.
What do you do for a living and
how does your healthy lifestyle
help you achieve your professional goals?
I work for one of the top 5 banks in
the US. I manage a department called
Balance Sheet Management Derivative
Operations. I’ve been in this business for
roughly 10 years and have enjoyed every
minute of it. I think that my healthy life
style provides me with balance. Besides
my family, the gym provides me with
an outlet. I can think, I can relax and
I can be me. In the gym, I’m a bulldog.
I never stop trying to achieve a certain
goal or milestone and I try to approach
my work in the same fashion. I always
tell yself three simple words...........””Get it
done.”
Do you have any outside interests or hobbies?
I own an entertainment management
company called Zig Zag Entertainment
Management, LLC, where I manage the
careers of a few aspiring artists (singers,
rappers and producers). I also serve as
the CEO of an independent record label
out of New York called MMG Records.
