My Venture Club
If you’re “single in the Queen City” and looking for like-minded folks to hang with, My Venture Club could be just what you’re looking for. Founded in 1987, the company has locations throughout the United States and continues to grow. Since the Charlotte office opened in January 2006, membership has grown into the hundreds. My Venture Club is a private activities club, but their principles don’t include the usual pressures of being “fixed up”. The premise? Interested parties attend activities with other local singles and therefore, are likely to meet people who enjoy the same activities they do. Participants say the My Venture Club process feels more natural than other dating avenues like on-line dating, which can sometimes feel forced. The club acts as host and facilitator, organizing a wide range of social, business networking, cultural, athletic and adventure events.
With My Venture Club, there is no need for traditional dating accoutrements like on-line photos, profiles, or matchmaking. Singles mingle together in a pressure-free environment, mixing it up with other club members in a safe environment. The concept of meeting people of the opposite sex while engaging in group activities is not new, but it stands to reason that engaging in an activity two people can enjoy together is more likely to create a connection than a random meeting.
Each event is facilitated by a My Venture Club event coordinator who introduces new club members and oversees the event. The prescreening process involved with membership in My Venture Club ensures the safety and confidentiality of each member of the club. Everyone in the group is single, is interested in dating, and is available.
The process is relatively simple. Prospective members go to the My Venture Club office or other convenient location for an interview and screening. The group offers membership based on mental, emotional, and financial stability, ensuring that members will interact in a safe and secure environment.
