Camille’s Sidewalk Café
September, 05

Eat, Relax, Enjoy!
Those three little words aren’t just the corporate slogan for Camille’s Sidewalk Café, they are also the three things you simply can’t help but do when you’re there.

What began as a small café in a Tulsa, Oklahoma strip mall has now become a thriving franchise with locations across the South including our own two locally owned locations at 1518 East 3rd Street in Charlotte (near Presbyterian Hospital) and at 690F Bluefield Road in Mooresville. And keep an eye out for two new South Charlotte locations on Morrison Boulevard and at the Galleria.

What attracts people initially to Camille’s Sidewalk Café is the stated right in their name: the sidewalk café atmosphere. With iron bistro style tables, canvas umbrellas to break the direct sunlight, and colorful flowers on the tables, patrons get to enjoy the outdoors while diving into some uniquely healthy food.

Camille’s specialties include innovative salads such as the Bangkok Thai Salad and, as Charlotte General Manager Benjamin Sholiton put it, “the best darn tomato soup you’ve ever had in your life.” Couple that with the fresh tuna salad, made with apples and walnuts, and you’ve got an amazing lunch.

At Camille’s, the emphasis is on fresh and healthy, insisting on real fruit in their smoothies, honey instead of sugar, and using eggbeaters in all their breakfast wraps rather than whole eggs.

Did I say breakfast? Oh yeah. One of the best things Camille’s has on their menu is all-day breakfast items. And these are just as healthy and unique as the rest of the menu. Try the Vegeterian Zinergy Wrap or the favorite Original Breakfast Wrap with a side of fresh fruit… for lunch or dinner! And their “Endless Cup of Coffee” offers you free coffee forever with the $7 purchase of a Camille’s mug.

As much as Camille’s Sidewalk Café is committed to fresh and healthy food in a relaxing, enjoyable environment, they are equally committed to the community.

Ericka Edwards, General Manager of the Mooresville location, proudly says, “We know our customers by name and we make sure they always leave us with a smile.”

She works hard to make a difference in the community by connecting Camille’s to the local schools, the YMCA’s and churches. And in Charlotte, Sholiton echoes the same philosophy of community involvement, looking forward to his location’s support of this month’s MS Ride to the Beach.

Give Camille’s Sidewalk Café a try. And then go back again… because you don’t want to miss the smoothies, the wraps, the paninis or the unbelievable Passion Fruit Cake, a naturally sweet, moist and yummy blend of cake, passion fruit and tons of strawberries in the middle. Then again, have a party and share the love with your friends or co-workers! After all, Camille’s caters too.
